Montreal, the Chinese Garden, QC
The stone boat is a traditional building built on the water’s edge and taking the form of a boat. It refers to the one at the Beijing Summer Palace, which, beyond the setting, also had a political meaning. As the ship was the Power, they were trying to establish that it could not be overturned.
