Toronto, hospitals, ON
The new Bridgepoint Hospital was completed in 2013, succeeding several medical facilities that have long been adjacent to the jail. As prison activity declined from the 1950s onwards, the buildings were converted to serve the hospital and the process was completed in 2013. The opposite side of the hospital overlooks the valley of the River Don and provides a beautiful view of the city. The CN Tower can be seen on the left.
