Mary’s Harbour, NL
Wharf for Battle Harbour, one of the most attractive sites in Labrador. For two centuries the island was the most important fishing port on the coast, the unofficial capital of a territory without any true administrative organization. After the relocation of the population to Mary’s Harbour in the 1930s, Battle Harbour fell into decay until it was rehabilitated to welcome and accommodate visitors.
