After the closure of the pulpwood plant in 1968, the population declined significantly. The inhabitants had to turn to fishing again. Salmon fishing during the season in nearby rivers and lakes, but also sea fishing in spite of the harsher conditions than in the past. This old fishing boat must have been through some tough times.
