Due to its location on the coast of Newfoundland, Port au Choix has been a focal point for fishing related activities. For example, the government agency Fisheries and Oceans Canada has an office there. Several fish processing plants were also based here, once for cod, now mainly for shrimp and crab.

I was also seduced by the shimmering colours amplified by the reflections in the water. From a more cerebral point of view, the mix of boats and houses illustrates the local atmosphere.
