Brampton, ON

(continuer en français)

Known as The Armstrong House, this house in the Brampton downtown area dates from the late 19th century. It was built by George Armstrong, initially in farming, but who became wealthy by subdividing the vast land where his house was built. It is an illustration of the fortune made by those who were lucky enough to find themselves on agricultural land swallowed up by urbanisation.
