Houses in Old Montreal, QC
In 1805 Montreal’s fortifications were dismantled and the neighbouring owners were offered to buy the adjoining portion of land. Pierre Berthelet accepted and then built this stone house on the enlarged plot of land. The house, located at 187 Place d’Youville, near the Old Port, housed various activities, an inn, a fruit shop and even a sail maker.

These old houses in Montreal bring something extra compared to most cities in North America, there is the historical roots and the obvious connection to the French culture.
