Château de Fontainebleau
The name of Fontainebleau comes from the existence of a fountain, it is not surprising that it is associated with water. A large pond has been dug in front of one of the facades. The Etang des Carpes serves nicely as a water mirror to reflect the long silhouette of the buildings, the large dimensions of which were intended for the court of the monarchs. The pond was also used for entertainment, particularly during the Second Empire.
