Pink flamingos of the Camargue
Pink flamingos are part of the images associated with the Camargue. A nature park was created there in the 1970s to better control the balance with agricultural and industrial activities. By preserving areas suitable for flamingo nesting and feeding, it limits the nuisance in the rice fields. An artificial island has even been set up in the Fancassier lagoon to secure the nests, while ensuring controlled access to the colony for visitors.

Thanks for commenting. This is from a series of photos, no two are the same, the light changes all the time at sunset.

Thanks. Here the flamingos are only part of the scenery, but they add a local touch to the Camargue.
