More than 250 years of history have passed through this staircase, kings, emperors, revolutionaries, occupants, civil servants and dignitaries. Although the successive uses of the premises may have modified the layout, the purpose of the recent conversion work was to recreate the original volumes in the part to be presented to the public. In doing so, some of the period decorations have reappeared under several later layers, completing the journey back in time to which the inevitable connected headphones invite.

I wish I could install such a staircase in my apartment. but its one storey only and i rent. grand indeed!

Everything has to be in harmony, the staircase alone is a bit cumbersome
