Another weekend in Bordeaux

(continuer en français)

Bordeaux was already an important city in Roman times. The Palais Gallien is the last vestige still visible in the urban fabric that swallowed the rest of the ancient amphitheatre. It was built in the second century BC, using the usual technique of alternating rows of stones and bricks.
