Weekend in Nantes
The series of Extraordinary Voyages by Jules Verne (1828-1905) comprises 62 novels, mixing travel and technology, sometimes imagined, in the second half of the 19th century. Jules Verne was born and raised in Nantes, and this museum is close to the house his parents owned, overlooking the Loire River where it begins to widen and flow into the sea, like an invitation to set sail.

Interestingly, there is indeed a successful airport in Nantes. As planes fly over the city all day long, a project wanted to move it further away, the Greens opposed it!

It’s true that this facade doesn’t have many windows and may look different. The opposite side of the house looks out over the Loire, and that’s where the windows are.
