
Holiday Lights in Paris
On Place Vendôme there is a giant guest for this holiday season, a Flying Dragon (1975) by Alexander Calder has landed in this classic 17th century architectural ensemble. It is always fun to play with the contrast of styles and periods, but apart from this playful provocation, the meaning still escapes.

The great thing about contemporary art is that artists start by creating something and then wonder what it is. Here we are talking about Flying Dragon, which is obvious to everyone.
