Antigone, Montpellier
The perspective crossing the Antigone district in Montpellier leads to the Hôtel de Région in the shape of a triumphal arch. In 2014, however, following the merger of regions, Montpellier lost the rank of regional capital to Toulouse. The building stands on the bank of the river Lez, which has been known to overflow during heavy rainfall.
