
Napoleon III Apartments in the Louvre, Paris
The dining room is no less imposing than the salons. Its long table decorated with silverware can seat 40 people. It is understandable that the Ministry of Finance tried to preserve this décor for its own benefit. But the Grand Louvre project freed up all the spaces to open all parts of the palace to the public, eventually the Napoleon III apartments were opened in 2000.
