
Carnavalet Museum, Paris
The Romans conquered Gaul just before our era. It was the Romans who started to turn Paris, still called Lutetia, into a monumental city with their stone architecture, the taste for which has not been lost since. The Carnavalet Museum presents several fragments of Roman monuments, especially those found in necropolises.

I would say that the Musee Carnavalet is more for locals or for an extended stay in Paris, as you need to know a bit about Paris to see all the connections that are on display. Thank you for your interest.
