February 2021 – Toronto
As I was getting ready to move to Paris, the borders closed. Familiar story … it must be tackled with personal patience, respectful of the much more important collective challenges that are at stake.
In the immediate future, I will therefore continue my Best of Canada for the Picture of the day, concentrating on South America for Destinations, just to put a little sun and good weather in the daily life.
Update 21.02.08, I finally arrived in Paris.
Destinations for February:
What you may have missed last month:
- Canada: Manitoba: Lower Fort Garry
- Canada: Manitoba: Winnipeg, Assiniboine Park
- Canada: Ontario: Algonquin Provincial Park
- Argentina: San Antonio de Areco
- Brazil: Charming Ipanema
- Brazil: Rio’s amazing cathedral

Anticipating very much the South America stuff. Really high up on our list of post-lockdown destinations.

I hope to live up to your expectations. Latin America offers many attractions, especially for a European traveller, who will find common points there, often more than with North America, for example in terms of architecture or human behaviour.

Hopefully the closed borders will soon be behind us. It’s been a long year for people who like to travel.

This makes one think about the comfort of moving around that was taken for granted, although individuals remain dependent on general rules that can change at any time.

The new rules, although understandable, add to the stress of this type of situation. Thank you for stopping by
