Old Bordeaux
Old Bordeaux is organised into several districts named after their respective parishes. The Sainte Croix district was formed around the Sainte Croix parish church, the last remnant of a large abbey. Its original population was involved in all the small trades gravitating around the port, dock work, rope making, leather or sugar processing.
