Fall in Ontario, ON
The Don River, on the edge of downtown Toronto, has seen all the excesses of early industrialization. Its course was shifted to power the mills, its waters were used to evacuate all the wastes, and the slopes of the valley were stripped of vegetation and turned into quarries. Even today an expressway still runs through the valley, while efforts are now focused on rehabilitation. Thus this former quarry supplying a brickworks has now become a public park after the project carried out by the Evergreen organisation.

What a beautiful walk among the trees. The rehabilitation is looking good!
