Fall in Ontario, ON
In simple terms, Leslie Street Spit is a lakefilling transformed into a park. And without any decision being made, the authorities were still discussing it when nature took over all the lakefilling dumped into Lake Ontario. Now Tommy Thompson Park, it is 3 miles, 5 kilometres, deep into the lake off the shore of Toronto that can be seen in the distance.
