Château de Fontainebleau

Beyond the architecture, the Château de Fontainebleau also has an impressive collection of furniture and art works that have accumulated over the centuries and reflect different styles. The Salon des Tapisseries, for example, displays furniture from the Second Empire with tapestries from the early 17th century on the walls.

    • It may seem a bit overwhelming, but behind each object there is a great deal of work by expert workers. Isn’t it the role of museums to show the best.
